Tailgate Fellowship

The Greater Philadelphia Baptist Association along with the Baptist Resource Network of Philadelphia invite you to join us in a spring Tailgate Fellowship on Saturday, May 1.

Our purpose is to draw our churches together in fellowship, food and games while we also gather to celebrate the joy of baptism! You should be receive an e-mail invitation as well as a snail mail advertisement coming soon.

Spread the word and invite your church to participate!

When: May 1, 10 a.m.-2 p.m.

Where: New Covenant Church at 7500 Germantown Ave., 19119 (directions here).

What to bring:

Food: some to eat, some to share — there will be grills there, but you can bring your own.

Seating/Tables: bring a blanket or a table and some chairs to be comfy outside

May means big changes.

This May, the BRN of Philadelphia will be rolling out a few changes thanks to the communications team and a web presence task force. These changes have been in the works and will hopefully be beneficial to you as you serve the people of the Philadelphia region in the name of Christ.

1. The BRNsider resumes publication at the end of the month and will be available to you via snail mail and at the upcoming Tailgate Fellowship on May 1.

2. An updated and much more engaging website will hopefully be up and running early in the month of May. The site should feature all the aspects of what the BRN of Philadelphia is seeking to accomplish as we advance the kingdom in our area.

We know the web development has been a piece we have deemed crucial to our efforts to impact the region more effectively. So far, we haven’t been able to follow through with a successful effort. Our communications team is working together to create something that you will enjoy and visit often.

3. Combining these two aspects will allow us to bring you the BRNsider newsletter to you in a digital format that you can download directly from our new site. This will help to decrease our overall costs and get important information in your hands as soon as possible.

4. The calendar of upcoming events will hopefully be updated on a regular basis to keep you aware of the important events that are taking place around you and the rest of the BRN. You can keep track of what’s coming up in the sidebar to the right.

Be ready for big things to come from the BRN of Philadelphia!

Item 2: A motion from the GPBA Leadership Team recommending to the Association a slate of people to serve as the GPBA Leadership Team for 2010 under the new constitution.

Disaster Relief Training

Here is a personal invitation for YOU and Members of your church to attend the Fall Training for PASJ Baptist Convention Disaster Relief to be Held on Friday night Oct. 9th and all day Saturday Oct. 10th at  Bux-Mont Baptist Church, 309 West County Line Road, Hatboro, PA. 19040
This training is open to people that have the Spirit of Helping others, we accept volunteers from ages 16-98.  The cost is $35 per person and you Must Attend Friday Night and all day on Saturday to be qualified for Disaster Response.   Payment is to be sent to 4620 Fritchey St., Harrisburg, PA 17109. See the attached form above for registration.
